The Transformation Lab

Via Meg 2.0:

There's a lot there to ponder. I KNOW I will be using this in classes this fall.

I love the idea of having totally experimental space and programs in a library; this strikes me as the Library Meets the Science Museum--I *really* love the iFloor!

I must confess, though, that the robots and the "interactive staircase" strike me a bit like "Nuni and Nooni visit the Library." I've been thinking more about how important it is not to become complacent in what we do and offer, lest we stop being receptive to change. This video makes me a bit uncomfortable, but I've come to the conclusion that this is a good thing--new concepts that stretch my imagination and challenge my assumptions and assertions will prevent me from answering "because we've always done it that way!"
