Library 2.0: Library as Place Presentation

It’s group project night in LIS768! The first group just presented on “Library as Place.” Checkout the YouTube video that features a visit to the Harold Washington Library in Chicago! The students shot a little video but encountered security enforcing the “no video” policy. Instead, they present their experiences in a Talk Show format.

  1. Cool video. I like the idea of libraries providing facilities for making podcasts and vodcasts. An excellent idea. It’s a form of micro-publishing that lets local stories get out. I would also like to see libraries provide facilities to help with a worthy “1.0” activity, publishing local stories in print. Blogs are a piece of that, not all of it, as print remains a vital service of libraries to readers.
