What an inspiring post! It is so nice to hear that in some libraries all staff members are valued for what they bring to the work environment, regardless of their 'qualifications'. The 'transactions' that happen between myself and our customers (well the good ones!) are what make my day. To make truly great staff trust and training must go hand in hand. I just may email this to all staff that work in our library, not just the qualified ones!!!
