You know, I had this same idea for the Young Adult room in my public library. But then I thought it would be counter-productive, because I could see kids intentionally being loud just to activate the lights and siren. However, I would be curious to see it in action in different settings.

In any event, many students will already be programmed to ignore these devices. They are commonly installed in public school lunch rooms.
