Except now with the economy so bad, a lot of our students are having to give up their cell phones, and are constantly asking to use our phone in the library because all the pay phones on campus were taken out!
I work in a library with a very low socio-economic demographic and a surprisingly large number of our students have never owned a mobile (or cell) phone! The growing technological gap between those that have, and those that have-not terrifies me. Keep the pay phones in place please
