dunno if you’d have enough free time to consider these, but if you enjoy scenic like in the picture, do consider a day-trip to the El Malpais National Monument.
ish-70 miles west on I-40, then south at exit 89 (NM 117). After 7 or so miles, you’ll be driving in/through the national park.

Or, a nifty historical experience is the Acoma Pueblo – which is the oldest continuously occupied community in North America. If you do go here, the souvenirs and art/pottery is MUCH cheaper up on the mesa than at the visitor center (even better prices for cash…)
