Point Me in the Direction of Albuquerque

New Mexico, originally uploaded by Wolfgang Staudt.

I head west again tomorrow for the New Mexico Library Association meeting. I’ll be keynoting Friday morning. Please say hi if you are attending.

It’s so nice to use one of my all time favorite Partridge Family songs as a post title. :-)

dunno if you’d have enough free time to consider these, but if you enjoy scenic like in the picture, do consider a day-trip to the El Malpais National Monument.

ish-70 miles west on I-40, then south at exit 89 (NM 117). After 7 or so miles, you’ll be driving in/through the national park.

Or, a nifty historical experience is the Acoma Pueblo – which is the oldest continuously occupied community in North America. If you do go here, the souvenirs and art/pottery is MUCH cheaper up on the mesa than at the visitor center (even better prices for cash…)

  2. Hi Michael,

I thoroughly enjoyed your keynote address at New Mexico Library Association. I am left with thoughts about encouraging the heart..
