Non-ALA members have full access to any community that is “open” (and we’ve had a couple hundred non-members join and do just that already). In addition, non-ALA members can comment on public content from any group, not just the ones they’ve joined.

What you can’t do as a non-member:
- See an ALA member’s committee, division, round table, and section affiliations
- View committee rosters
- Join the network and friend ALA members
- Join the forthcoming mentoring network

We have a long list of features we’ll be implementing over the next year, and most of them will be members-only, but non-members can fully participate in communities.
