Research Interest

My research interest focuses on a central theme with three main branches: emerging technological trends and their impact on:

  • library services,
  • professional development for library staff,
  • and the evolving role of libraries in the communities they serve.

In a variety of scholarly publications and presentations, I have examined the implementation and use of emerging technologies in information environments, the development of learning programs in libraries focused on emerging trends and technologies, and the modeling of evolving library scenarios for all types of information environments. These topics not only permeate my research agenda, they also inform my teaching and influence  many of  my other professional contributions. Conversely, innovations in my teaching have expanded my research agenda.
