Thanks Oak Park Public Library!

A big shout out to everyone at OPPL for making their staff inservice day such fun – and invigorating. I was also honored to present the staff day with my colleagues Drs. Karen Brown & Kate Marek. Their take on transforming library service was a perfect fit with my Hyperlinked Library model. The interactive exercises they did got all us of thinking! See you at Oak Park Public Library Staff Day!

I have one more local speaking engagement before Holiday Break – and it’s going to be fun! Next Friday, I’ll be joining my Dominican colleagues Dr. Karen Brown and Dr. Kate Marek for a staff institute with the staff of the Oak Park Public Library. We’ve designed an interactive 4+ hour workshop around transforming library service, emerging trends and dealing with change/transition. I am especially excited to see my colleagues present their “Drop Your Tools” material. If you’re an OPPL staff member and you read TTW, please say HI. And a shout out to the good folks at OPPL for […]

Thanks Rutgers Beta Phi Mu & SC&I

Before my trip to Darien, I got to spend a wonderful day with the good folks at Rutgers University School of Communication & Information. Students as well as local librarians attended. One thing I did with this talk was tap into the wisdom of part of my own personal learning network. Polling my Twitter followers for sage advice yielded some interesting and useful conversation starters. Read about it at ALA TechSource: […]

Thanks Charleston Conference 2009!

A huge thank you to all the wonderful folks who attended my plenary session this morning at the Charleston Conference 2009. I was a tad sleep-deprived, but the excitement and interest of the crowd made the talk and our discussion – which continued to the coffee break – very engaging. Thanks MOBIUS!

I had a great time at the MOBIUS Conference in the Lake of the Ozarks region of Missouri. My keynote was Tuesday night, followed by a rocking Dessert and Beverage reception. It was a very nice event. Thanks to all who attended and to all who chatted with me at the conference and around the Tan-Tar-A Resort. The slides are here: https://tametheweb.com/hyperlinkedlibrary/HyperlinkedMOBIUS.pdf
